Every Saturday morning my husband gets scared, most weeks I go downstairs and start stressing like a madwoman about the mess in the house, dishes everywhere, dog hair, clothes, toys. I start ranting and raving, get the hoover out, huff and puff, it really is ridiculous, I know I should not be doing it but I cannot help it. I sort of throw dishes in the sink and bang around a lot. I know if I was so stupid as to look under the cushions on the sofa and looked at all the crumbs underneath, well that would just send me over the edge.
I am feeling quite calm this morning but I am still upstairs so we will see. I went out last night for my leaving night at work. I left work about 3 weeks ago but got sick on my last day. Projectile vomitting. My friends bought me a lovely pearl necklace, very impressed. I know they will be reading this soon, how I loved work, people I worked with, so sad to leave etc.
Yesterday I have a lovely chat with my son's teacher. I found out why he was on red (not good) on Wednesday. He went into the teddy bear box in the middle of a lesson, lay down and would not come out and sit at his desk. I think teddy bear boxes would be great in offices. They could be de-stressing and thinking areas. I could start a new business. Teddy bear boxes, I think it could really take off.
Bought the running shoes yesterday. They felt great, I began running around the shop, the man thought I was a bit mad. Will not go running today, no need to rush into things, maybe next week.
We are off to Inverness this weekend. I love wee runs in the car looking at the countryside and the hills. Cannot wait until i am old. I will be able to go on coach trips.

Friday fitness
I have decided to get fit here in Bridge of Allan for the next 8 weeks, then by the time I get to the Falklands I will be thinner, fitter, healthier etc.
I am planning today to go and buy some runnning shoes and I have Davina McCall's exercise DVD ready to go downstairs. I just have to go downstairs and press the play button. Something I have been avoiding for the last 40 minutes.
My husband has decided he wants to Land Rover Defender or a County so yesterday our green car was in the garage again, they fixed two faults and found another 4. Still deciding whether to store green car, sell it or trade it in. Decisions decisions.
It was really windy last night and the windows were rattling. It kept me awake. I wonder just how bad the wind is going to be in The Falklands. Will I turn into an insomniac?

Supermarket stalker
I am just cringeing! I just tried to speak to a complete stranger in the local supermarket. I am sure it was this man that my husband and I met at a dinner a few weeks ago. We stayed out drinking in the pub with him until 3am which I am very proud of but anyway when I said hello to him using his name he just said "no, close". How embarrassing. He was smirking his head off.
I must have been very drunk, I am not good at faces when sober never mind after 5 glasses of wine. He probably thinks I am some crazy stalker who tries to chat men up in local supermarkets.
Might have found a car for The Falklands, a second hand Discovery, we need 4 wheel drive. I tried to clean my own car this afternoon, missed out the hoovering part (I got a bit distracted when a friend came around for coffee) but made quite a good job with a pack of baby wipes. They pick up a lot of dust and dirt. I also found £1.05, two hair clips and some melted jelly babies. There are other delights for me under the seats, I think there may be some MacDonald happy meal chips from last year in there.

Pig brain
Well it was an eventful walk to school this morning. My two angels fought the whole way there. My daughter kept telling my son he had a pig brain. I have no idea where this has come from. Maybe I should ban TV. I told my son that pigs are actually quite intelligent so this helped a little.
My daughter then stormed away and announced that she wants to go to boarding school and make friends with Penny More (the American girl at an English boarding school in the film Wild Child).
The school in The Falklands has about 30 children. The school at the moment has 380, quite a difference. I wonder what they are going to make of my high spirited children?

Blogging business
Well I managed after 10 minutes to remember what my user name and password was to get into blog spot. Maybe I should write it down.
My parent's neighbour gave me a tourist guide to the Falklands. He has gone on a cruise there. The photos looked sunny and the beaches look amazing, golden sand and penguins at touching distance. There are more hotels and coffee shops than I thought and there is a shipwreck that looks interesting.
My son's passport has been sent off for renewal. I am not convinced they are going to accept the photo, his face is to the side but we will see. What a complete pain it was filling the form out.
Have to decide what to do with our car, do we sell it (not worth much) or store it and risk the brakes rusting and seizing up. I think I will get car professionally cleaned. There is a funny smell, a mixture of children, dog, horses, mystery food.

Well would like to sit here and write another post as I am getting the hang of this but have to go and pick up children. I think school should finish at 5pm instead of 3pm. Never enough time. I only had time to watch Loose Women today for 20 minutes. What use it that?
My daughter has a name for her lamb already. It is going to be called Abbie and my son actually wants a monkey but I do not think they have monkeys in the Falklands.

10 weeks to go until I see some Penguins
Yes I have been saying I would set up a blog and here it is. No idea what to do but will work that out as I go along. Want to keep people updated with our year long adventure in the Falkland Islands which starts in May.
Very tired just thinking about what I have to plan over the next 10 weeks to get us from Scotland to the Falklands but it will all turn out OK, it always does. Maybe I will write a list.
Quite looking forward to getting furniture out of this house in about 9 weeks, there is an awful lot of dust under my bed and behind the television.
I have promised that the children can have a pet lamb and some chickens when we move. I may regret this.
